Starting from this point, anybody could just wonder on how some people manage to maintain their healthy condition even up to their late age. Their longevity might be enough to show how healthy they are for being persistent against the hundred types of disease which could harm and finally kill anyone. At least that is what we have really found in several places in this world.

Let’s say there is Misao Okawa from Japan who manages to celebrate her 116th birthday last March. She has been living since the famous Colonel Sanders and the U.S. 34th President, Dwight Eisenhower were only eight years old. There is also Sakai Momori, a 111-year-old retired Japanese educator who recently receives the certificate from Guinness World Records as the oldest living man and more of the Japanese people who live beyond 100. There is still Emma Morano from Italy; Susannah Mushatt Jones, Jeralean Talley and also Gertrude Weaver from US and many more scattered all over the world.

The secret to their longevity might come from the genes, their life perspective, being active or any special recipe on their meal. However, one sure thing is the involvement of the nutrition establishment for the better health. By ensuring the better health, the longevity could also be granted. Once again, starting from this point, people wonder if such longevity diet really exists.

However, some major researches and studies have been proven that such a diet really exists and completely applicable for everyone. The longevity diet has been proven for minimizing the rate of being targeted by dangerous diseases and finally extending the life expectancy. This kind of diet might also give the similar effect as the vegetarian diet which also has been proven to manage someone’s life four up to seven years.

The first is known for the foods for the healthy heart. Many of us might have fully understood with the saturated fats which could be found in meat or any high-fat dairy products. However, the saturated fats have been discovered for its characteristic which is able to raise the blood cholesterol levels into the danger zone. For the healthy heart’s sake, those kinds of food which contain the saturated fats should be avoided and eat more any kinds of food that contains fiber and nutrients such as fruits and vegetables. Consuming the fruits and vegetables could help people in avoiding the cardiovascular disease by maintaining the healthy weight though.

To improve the nutrition more, the whole grains might also be required to secure the body from the list of disease caused by lack of nutrition. The whole grain is quite similar with the fruits and vegetables where it contains a lot of useful nutrition for human body. Oats or barley might have a different amount of calorie inside. By preferring the low one, people should not face more difficulties in balancing the calorie intakes on their body when it gets exceeded. The whole grain products combined by the fruits also have been discovered for its capabilities in lowering the risk of heart disease and also type II diabetes.

However, the food for healthy heart alone might not be sufficient for ensuring someone’s longevity. The foods for vital brain such as blueberries and other antioxidant-rich fruits, fish with its high omega-3, low-salt foods or coffee to reduce the risk of age-related mental decline; foods for strong bones to prevent the bone loss and osteoporosis like dairy product which contains calcium and protein, dark green leafy vegetables like collard green or spinach and finally ultra-high calcium tofu are also required to guarantee the healthier and longer life.

Each of us knows that there are so many people in this world who have spent so much of their money only to get healed from their disease. It is no longer hundreds yet thousand bucks to get the medication where most of them have been found only to minimize the symptoms and risks and not to completely heal it. There is no absolute medication that could totally eradicate the malignant disease such as diabetes, heart failure and many more. So the sentence “to prevent is better than to cure” is still making sense no matter how good the medication we take.
